Columbia Sportswear goes after Gore-Tex maker

Columbia Sportswear Co. and its Italian subsidiary OutDry Technologies S.r.l. are going after competitor W.L. Gore & Associates for unfair competitive practices.

Privately held W.L. Gore, best known for its Gore-Tex fabrics, was founded in 1958 and has about 9,000 employees worldwide and $2.5 billion in annual revenues.
